Easter time: 50 days of grace!
Easter time is a time of salvation renewed and humanity restored to the
Lord! We are all called to not go back to our “pre-Lenten” practices, but
to sustain the new life of our refreshed baptismal promises. It’s a time
of interior renewal. How and why can the saints help us with this?

Proceeds go towards supporting Caritas Manila and their ongoing typhoon rehabilitation efforts, through their authorized representative Ayala Foundation USA. Funds raised will also help support SLRC’s music ministry. Through music, the choir aims to spread love for the Eucharist and devotion to San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint.

SLRC’s Music Directors are tenors Rogelio Peñaverde, Jr. and Leo Paolo Leal. Rogelio is currently pursuing a career in opera, while Leo is an alumnus of world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. Both are actively singing professionally in NY and are alumni of the Manhattan School of Music.

For the April 10 event, Philadelphia-based pianist Clement Acevedo will be doing the music accompaniment. He is an alumnus of the Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance.

Dr. Peter Kreeft, Professor of Philosophy at Boston College, will be giving a talk entitled “Agnosticism: The Only Intellectual Option?” at St. Joseph’s Church on April 7th, at 7 PM. There will be time for questions following the talk.

Afterwards, refreshments will be served in Casserly Hall downstairs.
