Join the Catholic Filipino Young Adults (CFYA) on a Public Square Rosary on October 11, 2008 at Bryant Park, NYC.
Currently, the United States is suffering from the sins of abortion, homosexuality, impure fashions and immoral laws. Moreover, secularism attempts to remove God from society. But without God, where will our leaders get the wisdom to solve the great problems we face? We must counter today’s immoral and secularist trends with our public prayers. We must ask God, through the Rosary of His Most Holy Mother to save America.
Public Square Rosary Rallies
is organized by www.americaneedsfatima.org , it takes place each year, on the Saturday closest to October 13, the day of the Fatima miracle of the sun, we hold thousands of Public Square Rosary Rallies. America Needs Fatima’s Rally Captains gather people in a group in highly visible places to pray the Rosary, beg God’s pardon, sing hymns and make public witness for the Fatima message. For info please contact the Rally Captain: Reynor 848-203-9490 or Reynor@katoliko.org

Hey everyone,
The next event in Apostolist’s Summer in the City program is coming up this Saturday afternoon, and you don’t want to miss it.
Join us at the Covenant House (a shelter for homeless teens in Hell’s Kitchen) for an ice cream social. We’ll be scooping ice cream — 16 flavors — for the teens, then joining them for a multitude of fun activities. They’re really looking forward to having us, and it’s a great opportunity to share God’s love with some kids who could use a reminder.
Some details:
– Please show up at 2pm sharp. We’ll wrap up by 4. Covenant House is located at 460 W 41st street at 10th ave. If you’re coming from points east, walk down 42nd street to 10th ave, then turn left to 41st. You can’t miss it.
– Dress comfortably and modestly.
– If you have a board game you’re willing to share, please bring it along. Ditto for an ice cream scoop.
Hope to see you there.
In Christ,
The Apostolist leadership team

Dear Friend in Christ,
We hope you are all enjoying your summer!
This Wednesday, July 9th, we have another Rosary Walk through Central Park. We will meet at the big fountain in Grand Army Plaza outside the Plaza Hotel on 5th Avenue and 58th/59th Streets. We meet between 6:30am and 6:45am. If it rains we will still meet but then head to a nearby church to pray the Rosary inside. We hope to see you all this Wednesday!!
This Saturday, June 12th, be a part of an enlightening discussion. The CSPYA and YCNY have organized a Bible Study every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. We will meet in the back of the Cathedral at the Information Desk between 5:00 P.M. to 5:20 P.M. At 5:20 P.M., we shall head to our pews for the 5:30 P.M. Mass, which fulfills your Sunday obligation. After Mass, we shall meet again at the Information Desk and then proceed down to the Small Meeting Room for our discussion. Those who wish to join us for the study but cannot attend Mass can meet us at the Cathedral Information Desk between 6:15 - 6:20 P.M.. There will be someone at the Cathedral Parish House entrance to let you in until 7:00 P.M. The downstairs entrance is at 14 East 51st Street. After the study, we will head out to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
The Sisters of Life need our help! The mothers that they take care of need Metro Cards so that they can travel around the city for job interviews, errands, etc… They need $10 Metro Cards and you can mail them to the convent at: Sisters of Life Sacred Heart of Jesus Convent, 450 West 51st Street, NY, NY 10019. The mothers also need gift cards/certificates to CBS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, or any other discount stores. You can mail those along with the Metro Cards.

Where:: Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz, 378 Broome St., NYC (bet Mott & Mulberry)
Our Beloved Holy Father, in his address to the Youth at Dunwoodie asked us:
“And what of today? Who bears witness to the Good News of Jesus on the streets of New York, in the troubled neighborhoods of large cities, in the places where the young gather, seeking someone in whom they can trust? How then can we as believers help others to walk the path of freedom which brings fulfillment and lasting happiness?
What about today? What are you seeking? What is God whispering to you?
It is from within the Church that you too will find the courage and support to walk the way of the Lord. Nourished by personal prayer, prompted in silence, shaped by the Church’s liturgy you will discover the particular vocation God has for you. Embrace it with joy. You are Christ’s disciples today.
Shine his light upon this great city and beyond. Show the world the reason for the hope that resonates within you. Tell others about the truth that sets you free.
Take courage! Let your imaginations soar freely along the limitless expanse of the horizons of Christian discipleship.”
And so with this I invite you to take part of this discipleship. Share in the opportunity to be witnesses of Christ. Email your friends, share to them the Hope that we have in Christ, especially through the Sacraments of the Church. Let us all together learn more about these treasures, THE SACRAMENTS, on June 28 by joining us as we spend an afternoon of recollection with Rev. Aquinas Guilbeau, OP. Thank you and May God bless you always.
