It is also good to attend Bible Study Group. Check with your local parishes if they have and if they don't have it yet, maybe you can help inspire them to do so. There are many parishes that offers Bible Study Group. Don't hesitate to ask from a local parish or maybe a friend could introduce you to one they already know.

The Gospels and like what i was told too, St. Mark's Gospel is a good start. But however you do it, always begin with prayer and read it prayerfully, listening to God's words - His story and our story.

Attending Mass is a great way to know God, love and serve Him. Here, you can listen to the Readings and the Gospels and participate in the celebration of the Paschal Mystery. In fact, this can be a good start, you can either read the readings and or the Gospel for that day before and after Mass.

God is full of mercy and love, may God help us to know Him, love Him and serve Him faithfully, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Here's a prayer to the Holy Spirit that is very helpful in guiding us to reading the Bible and listening to God's words.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of the faithful, enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created and Thou shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray: O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit did instruct the hearts of the faithful. Grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
